KTS has developed a line of air-cooled RF™ generators with microprocessor control. These units use low-cost plastic-packaged RF™ devices in a novel bias scheme to create a robust and low-cost power supply. The microprocessor controller permits integration with new, digital interface system controls using serial via RS-232/485 and in the future, ethernet. The advanced controller performs numerous self-checks and monitoring constantly, providing complete status information to the control port and the 4-line LCD front panel. The control system provides a simple menu-driven interface on the front panel for quick, simple setup and control for manual configurations. An analog control interface is also included for backward compatibility for applications such as replacing a generator from a different manufacturer.

We have also developed a cost-sensitive generator to customer specifications. This air-cooled unit uses many of the features of its higher powered brethren but does not include the sophisticated controller. This generator is designed to be an integral part of an overall system.
